As well as construction of the new footpath and heritage trail, exciting heritage activities took place throughout last summer, including;
- 'Have a Go' Archaeology
- Community Mosaic
- Premiere of ‘Polkas and Pustules’ – a short dramatic film on the Ivanhoe Spa
- Guided walks around the new Bath Grounds Heritage Trail
- Talks on the history of the Bath Grounds and Ashby’s Ivanhoe Spa
- Performance of the Ballad of the Bath Grounds
Lots more details on each activity can be found on the Links or Activities tab above.
The final Project activity is a Free Public Exhibition in Ashby Library, scheduled for January 21st to February 11th 2017. This shows all the great events that have taken place over the year as part of the Project, including the key results from the 'Have a Go' Archaeology. The exhibition is in the back room of the library and open to the public during most normal library opening hours (except when special events are being held in the room).
The Exhibition was opened by Ashby Mayor, Mike Ball.
